My name is Mats Moy and if you’re looking to increase your roofing company’s roofing sales in 2020 then by the end of this video I’ll share with you one strategy that your whole team can get behind to generate more roofing leads for your roofing company.
I’ve helped dozens of roofing companies implement this one strategy and at the most that I’ve seen is 50 additional phone calls for the entire month. And now I’m gonna share this strategy with you. I want to help you get more roofing leads in 2020.
So, in my previous video, Roofing Leads Free of Charge, I shared with you a strategy to utilize your Google My Business listing to generate more roofing leads for your company just using that alone.
So, in this video now I’m gonna share with you step by step how to utilize that post feature that I mentioned in our previous video so that your team and yourself can execute upon this strategy to generate more roofing leads for your company. So, let’s dive right in, guys.
1. Download The Google My Business App
you need to download the Google My Business app. And for the sake of this video, I’m going to be utilizing my phone so you can see exactly how I do it from my smartphone and you can implement the same strategy on yours.
All right, so, first thing that you’re gonna want to do is download the Google My Business app. So, by doing this you need to head over to the App Store. If you’re using an Android then you’ll go to the Google Play Store. So, we go to Search, Google My Business.
All right, so, we type that in and this is what the app looks like. Google My Business. Download it. If you haven’t already I highly recommend that you download my free guide, my free nine-page guide, that will show you exactly how to set up a Google My Business listing if you haven’t already. All right, so, once you downloaded the app you’ll open it and the first thing that it will prompt you to do is actually sign in using the Google My Business, or sorry, a Gmail account that’s associated with your Google My Business app.

2. Invite Your Team Members
So, step number two, inviting all of the team members that you’re gonna have participating in this little activity that’s gonna help you get more sales. So, you’re gonna go over to Profile, or sorry, More, and then here you’re gonna want to manage users. And this is where you’re gonna want to add and you can search them by name.
Now, they need to have a valid Gmail account for them to be able to use this. So, it’s very, very important that you have them create one or if they have an existing one you can just add them here. So, for myself I would just add, so we’ll add Mats. There you go and you would click search. It would show up here and click me and you would add me as a site manager. That is what you’re looking to do.
All right, so, click site manager. Add me as such. Obviously I’m already added so I can’t add myself again but that is how you would go about adding a site member or a team member to your Google My Business listing.
3. Use The Posts Feature For More Roofing Leads In 2020
Next what we’re gonna want to start doing is utilize the posts feature. So, you’re gonna head over to profile.
Go over to the posts section here and you’re gonna click create a post. And then, while you’re on the roof, what you’re gonna want to do instead is take a picture of something. Right, what’s going on on the roof? Why are you there? You’re gonna take a picture and I’m gonna pose just for this. Right, and then you hit Next. That’s what you’re gonna want to do. Take a picture of what you have in front of you. If you are at a job site, if you’re giving out a roof estimate, if you’re carrying out the work, you have a foreman there, take a picture and describe to me what is going on.
So, for the sake of this video, I know it’s not a picture of a roof but I’m gonna give it a brief description. So, let’s say, “Here today in lovely Toronto, Ontario “carrying out a roof repair.” Boom. “Give us a call for a free estimate.” And then you would put your phone number if you would like, or better yet, we’ll plug it.
Now, one of the things that I mentioned to you in that free nine-page guide, again, if you haven’t downloaded it it’s down below. What you’ll want to do is plug your company. So, name, address, phone number is what you want to put in here. All right, and it’s kind of a pain to go about writing it every single time so what I do is I actually have it posted in my notes so that way I can just copy it like this, copy the entire thing and I can paste it at the bottom. There we go.
So, one thing you’ll notice that I have my company name, Moy Consulting, the address of my company, the postal code. Put it in the exact same format. Phone number and then website. And then lastly as an added bonus you can add your Google My Business maps link and in order to find that you can get it on Google Maps.
All right, I’ll show you how to do that in just a second after I post this. So, let’s go ahead and add a button. We’re going to Learn More or Book. Book is better. We can add our website again. And send them to the Contact Us page of your website. MatsMoy.com/Contact-Us Publish. There we go, it’s publishing.
Once it’s done this is what it looks like. Just a preview of what it looks like. “Here today in lovely Toronto.” And again, it doesn’t have to get that complicated. Now, in that same nine page guide, guys, that I keep mentioning I have so many examples for you to be able to post different styles.
Right, if you have a new blog post on your website, if somebody got promoted, if you’re now certified with a certain manufacturer, all kinds of examples that I have mentioned and listed for you in that nine page guide. So again, download it. It’s in the description. All right, so, where do we get that link? If we head over to Home, right there.
So, this link here is where you will gather. So, if you head over to Overview, this link right here, this is where you’ll go about downloading it. All right, you can just write https://g.page/ your company name and that’s how you go about getting that link.
If you haven’t already created one you can customize it and put the name, whatever name that you want in there and you can use that to send people to that maps page for your Google My Business listing. Now you have a strategy that your whole team can pitch in on to help your roofing company generate more roofing leads in 2020.
