Every single day, I’ll get at least one question in regards to how we generate leads online, sometimes it’s a spin-off of that question. But nonetheless, there are questions that come in every single day, from roofing company owners just like you.
And so I wanna take the moment to answer the frequently asked questions that I receive on a day-to-day all in this video. Let’s dive right in.

Answering frequently asked questions
Now over the last six years, I’ve helped numerous roofing companies internationally get online and start producing leads. And I often get the very same questions all the time, which makes me scratch my head a little bit as to why I never put out a video just like this a very long time ago.
So frequently asked questions, and I’m gonna start with the very first one that I get all the time.
How much, how much, how much, how much? Now, this question tends to come up a lot, because this industry has become so accustomed to buying leads.
Now the question of how much doesn’t pertain to buying leads, because that’s not what we do here at Moy Consulting, right? We help roofing companies generate their own leads online. We don’t sell leads, we help you structure set up a system in-house so that you can produce your own leads.
Now how much is all depending on you. It depends on your goals, it depends on what you are looking to achieve from your online presence, right?
Some of you are only needing to get, I don’t know, an additional 30 leads a month to achieve your goals whereas some other companies are looking for 300 leads a month, right? It’s specific to you. And without sitting down and speaking with you trying to figure out exactly what you are looking for, then I can’t answer the question of how much because I do not sell leads.

How long until I see results?
The next question that I normally get is, how long until I see results? Of course, you wanna know how long it’s gonna be until you start making a return on your investment.
Now, if you do decide to work with a company like mine, typically you’ll start to see results within the first month.
Now consistent results normally come three months into us working together. This is assuming you’re following exactly what the plan is and you’re taking action and making sure that you’re getting it done consistently each and every single day. You will start to see results within a month consistently within three.
How many leads will I get?
Well, this is the beauty of setting up systems in-house so that you’re producing leads for your own company rather than reaching out to a third party and saying, “Hey, can I buy leads from you?” So how many leads will you get?
Again, that’s all depending on the amount of effort you’re looking to put into it the amount of money you’re looking to put into your own system. So again, everyone’s goal is gonna be a little bit different here whether you wanna generate 30 whether you wanna generate 300.
What guarantees do you have?
I hear this all the time. I can guarantee you that if you do not adapt and get online and start producing quality leads, you will get left behind. Your company will start to fall behind the competitors and you will eventually go out of business because the world is only getting more technology-dependent.
Everyone, even yourself, you are sitting here on YouTube watching this video. Hopefully, you understand the power of technology and what it can do for your business. And my guarantee to you is if you fail to adapt, then your business will fall apart.
Maybe it won’t be this year, maybe it won’t be next year or in the next five years. But if you’re looking down into the future, understand that digital is the way to go. And I guarantee you that this is only gonna get bigger in terms of getting in front of the customers that you are looking to eventually do business with.
What if I’m not good with computers?
Well, the beauty of computers and skills and abilities, like in any other industry is that it’s learnable. You can learn this stuff, you can apply this stuff, and do it on a day-to-day and get better.
Just think about the first time you learned how to roof, right? You went in there knowing absolutely nothing but somebody showed you the ropes.
So you have two choices here. Really, three. You could learn, you can get taught by someone how to market your own roofing company online or you can hire a competent marketing company. In this day and age, I kid you not, it is very, very difficult. You could hire a marketing company to look after it for you hoping that they’re gonna do an amazing job.
Lastly, you can learn the hard way, you know, start doing stuff yours by yourself, testing, experimenting, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to figure things out. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll get good over time, and you’ll start to produce leads.
Those are really the three options that you have.
What is SEO?
Now, I love this one. What is SEO? Right, and I get this question a lot.
A company will say, “Well, I have a company doing SEO for me.” And I try to ask, “but what is your understanding of doing SEO? What does that mean?” “It’s like getting me on the search engine.” “Right, yeah but what are the actions? Like what are you paying the company to do on a day-to-day for SEO?” And most contractors have no clue.
They don’t know. It’s not their industry, it’s not their skill. And so they don’t necessarily know.
Well, I encourage you to figure that out because there are companies who are collecting checks and doing absolutely nothing. You want to hire a marketing company that’s actually competent, and doing stuff on a day-to-day to help your organic rankings increase.

Do I need a website?
That is a good question. Do you need one to generate leads? The answer is no. Will it help you with your overall online presence? The answer is yes.
What are keywords?
Keywords are words that you are telling the search engines that you want to rank for.
So, for example, “roofing company in Dallas.” That is a keyword that you are telling Google that you would like to show up for when someone heads to Google and searches for something similar. That’s a keyword.
How do I get on the first page of Google?
Now, before I answer this question, I wanna make something clear. Getting on the first page of Google and getting quality leads are two different things, okay? So whenever someone calls you and says, “Hey, we’re gonna get you on the first page of Google.” Do not, and I repeat, do not assume that you will get phone calls as a result of this, because that is not the same.
So when you do get to the first page of Google, and you look at whoever told you they’re gonna get you on the first page of Google, where are the phone calls? Well, I said I was gonna get you on the first page of Google, that’s it. Right, you’re on the first page. So the two are different things. So do not confuse one thing for another.
Now, can generating leads be a byproduct of being on the first page of Google? Absolutely, but it has to be for the right keywords.
Okay, so how do you get on the first page of Google? Well, there’s a series of actions that you need to take SEO-wise. And again, SEO is search engine optimization. There are specific actions that you need to take and tell Google that you would like to show up on the first page for said keyword.
Okay, so you can tweak the page that you’re looking to show up for on Google, make some changes right on-page, as well as off-page SEO, depending on the level of competition of the keyword that you’re looking to go for. That’s going to dictate how long it’s going to take you to get on the first page of Google.
What is PPC?
Simple question, PPC stands for pay-per-click. So you’re essentially paying the marketing platform every single time that somebody clicks on your ad.
How do I get Facebook leads?
Now that is a loaded question. The best response that I can give you for that is to get proper training.
Should I be using social media?
Absolutely, if you can set aside less than 10 minutes a day to use social media to promote your business, then do so.
It is free advertising, and can generate quality roofing leads for your company. So why would you not do it?
Do I need to make videos?
Absolutely not. Should you make videos? Yes, yes, you should.
You have a library of knowledge right here in your mind that your customers would really appreciate. Think about the local community and how much you can help them with your expertise in creating a short video explaining your day-to-day.
What you do on a roof, how you deal with roofs, your processes, how to deal with insurance claims. All these different things that you can give them as information to better help your company get exposure within the local community.
What services do you offer and how does it work?
