For those of you guys who are joining me for the first time on this channel, my name is Mats Moy and I am the owner of Moy Consulting. A company that I created just to help roofing contractors generate more roofing leads online.
So, just like everything else in life, there are specific rules that we need to follow when it comes to pretty much everything, right? And so it’s no different with your marketing.
I’m going to share with you a few rules to help you produce more out of your marketing online. A lot of you guys are making big mistakes and I’m going to help you rectify them. Alright? So let’s dive right in.
1. Own the system
Rule number one, own the system. That is the best way for you to start producing leads online, not only to start but to scale and thrive online and really benefit from the internet. You need to own the system.
What do I mean by that? I mean, you need to stop buying leads from third-party companies and learn how to generate them for yourself. Instead of giving a man some fish, I shall teach you how to fish and you’ll be able to fish for yourself. It’s the same concept here.
When it comes to producing leads online, you need to learn how to produce them yourself in-house or have a company do it for you in-house. Not reaching in the next something over, you need to do it for yourself. Okay?
2. Never stop
Rule number two: never stop.
I have a client, which I’m not gonna say his name ’cause he’s gonna get pissed but I am warning him that if he stops his marketing, he is going to regret it. Granted, he is booked out seven, eight months out. So I understand why he wants to stop marketing but you should never stop advertising online. You can reduce the amount that you’re spending, absolutely, but to cut it off cold turkey is not good for your algorithm.
So if you’ve got something good going on online, I encourage you not to stop. Figure out how to fix the infrastructure in your business to accommodate more leads rather than stop your marketing because that is a big mistake that will hurt you in the long run.
3. Subscribe to my channel
Rule number three and I’ve already said this one. Be sure to do it because it’s very important especially if I have to say it twice. Be sure to subscribe, like, and then hit the notification bell on this video so that you get notified when I release a new video each and every single Wednesday.
4. Adapt, adapt, adapt
Rule number four. Adapt, adapt, adapt. You need to keep adapting. The internet is changing every single day. Google, new interface, Facebook, new interface, Instagram, new social media. Everything is always changing because these companies know that they have to adapt to stay ahead of the game. And it’s no different for you, right?
When these new things, these new platforms are being released, new strategies are being developed, you need to become the next Albert Einstein. You need to let that inner Einstein come out and start adapting, experimenting, testing new things to see if you can get better. Do not get complacent.
I spoke to a roofer the other day working with his dad for 16 years using the yellow pages, the yellow pages to promote. They had the two full pages on the yellow pages and they were doing maybe five, seven roofs, every single week. Things were going great until the internet came into play.
As the internet got bigger and bigger, dad failed to adapt until the business started going down. They went from doing five, seven roofs every single week to maybe one or two roofs per week.
It’s because they failed to adapt. A lot of you guys are still not on the internet, but you’ve taken the right step. You’re watching this video here today and you’re hoping to get enough information to start moving forward. So keep adapting, keep learning, and always be a student.
