How Mats got here

I started out as a civil engineer, trained to check the numbers twice and build things that last. Not long out of school, I spotted a gap: roofing contractors, good ones, had no real idea how to use the internet to win customers. I knew I could fix that, so I did. I built a digital marketing business and spent roughly six years helping more than 200 roofing companies across the US and Canada generate leads.

On paper, it worked. The business grew, the clients got results, and I was good at it. But everything happened through a screen. In six years I never shook a client's hand. I could see the numbers I was producing for people, but I could not see their faces, and at some point I had to admit I felt no real connection to anyone I was helping. Meanwhile, the people closest to me, friends and family, were standing at bigger crossroads, decisions about homes and money that would shape their lives for decades, and those were the conversations I found myself wanting to be in.

Around the same time, with the business doing well, I started buying investment properties, thinking about my family and my two kids. That is where the frustration started. The agents I hired left me doing the work myself. I pulled the comparables, ran the numbers, asked the questions, and walked away from each deal wondering what exactly I had paid for. If that was my experience, it was everyone's. It felt like an industry problem, and I had spent my whole working life solving problems other people had learned to live with. So I solved this one the direct way: I got my real estate licence and started doing the job the way I wished someone had done it for me.

I have not looked back. My first clients were relatives and people I love, which meant the stakes were personal from day one. There is no cutting corners for the people you sit across from at family dinners. I got to help them reach their real estate goals and give them the kind of experience I never got as a buyer, and somewhere in there I found the purpose the marketing years were missing.

The old careers did not go to waste either. The engineer in me still checks everything twice, which is why my advice starts with data instead of a sales pitch. The marketer in me still knows how to get a property in front of the right people, which is why the marketing behind my listings runs deeper than a sign on the lawn and a post on the MLS.

And here we are. I help people buy, sell, and invest in real estate, and I get to do it face to face. I look clients in the eye, I shake their hand, and when the plan comes together I am standing right there to see the joy on their faces. That is what was missing all those years behind a screen. It is a beautiful thing.

How we work

If you want someone to pressure you into a decision, we are not the right team for you. If you want straight answers, realistic expectations, and a plan that fits your life, that is where we do our best work.

Three things sit at the centre of everything we do.

  1. Transparency

You will see the same data we see. That includes comparable sales, current competition, and the parts of the story that are not always comfortable, like carrying costs and possible downside.

  2. Education

We will walk you through how the process works from start to finish. You will understand how offers actually work, what conditions matter, how financing fits in, and what to expect at each stage. Our goal is for you to feel more confident with every conversation.

  3. Strategy

We do not believe in one-size-fits-all real estate advice. Your situation, timing, and risk tolerance matter. We will talk through different options and build a plan that works in the market we are in, not the market from a headline or a past year.

Experience that actually helps you

Before many of our clients ever meet us, they find our content on YouTube, where we break down GTA neighbourhoods, price points, and current market conditions in simple, plain language.

Behind the scenes, Mats also buys and sells real estate as an investor, with experience in flips, renovations, and working with trades and inspectors. That means when we walk through a property, we are not just looking at paint colours and staging. We are thinking about layout, structure, renovation costs, and resale potential.

Why clients hire us

People usually choose to work with our team for a few specific reasons:

  • They want someone who will tell them when a property is wrong for them, not just when it is right
  • They want to understand the numbers, not just hear a price
  • They want help balancing family goals, commute, schools, and long-term plans, not just square footage
  • They want a guide who keeps the process organised, steady, and calm, even when negotiations get stressful
“Mats is also very open and frank and will tell you what needs to be told, not what you want to hear and that's an amazing quality!”

Buying

What you can expect if you are buying

  • We start with a conversation about your goals, budget, and timing
  • We look at realistic options in different neighbourhoods and compare them side by side
  • We send you properties that match the criteria we define together, not everything that hits the market
  • When you are ready to offer, we talk through strategy, conditions, and numbers so you know exactly what you are signing

Selling

What you can expect if you are selling

  • We review recent comparable sales and the current competition around your home
  • We walk through your property and give clear recommendations on what is worth fixing or updating and what is not
  • We build a marketing plan that shows off both the home and the lifestyle of your neighbourhood
  • We keep you updated on showings, feedback, and offers so there are no surprises

Serving the GTA from one main hub

We work out of one main office location and use it as the base to serve all of the areas we cover across the GTA. That keeps the process simple for you. One team, one point of contact, and one consistent approach whether you are in Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Toronto, or nearby communities.
