The 2021 roofing season is here. And let’s be honest, we’re always looking to do better than the previous year, if not the same.

So in this week’s video, we’re gonna dive into how to make the most out of this 2021 roofing season using your online presence. Let’s dive right in.

Making the most of 2021

So without wasting any time, how can you as a roofing company make the most out of 2021 in order to generate more leads for your business.

So if you have not even made the slightest effort online for your roofing company, there are three things that I would like for you to do right now because they are very inexpensive, and totally worth it for your business.

1. Get a website

One, I want you to get a website. You don’t need to get anything fancy. You simply need a home base for people to do their due diligence about your company when you hand out that card and say, “Hey we are a roofing company.”

At least look professional, it’s 2021 guys. There’s no reason why your company shouldn’t have a website. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy fancy. Stay within budget and get something very inexpensive that’s gonna showcase your business online.

2. Get a Google My Business listing

Two, I want you to get a Google My Business listing. This is completely free.

If you have not yet downloaded my free guide, I want you to go down and comment GMB, comment GMB and I’ll go ahead and send you that free guide to help you set up that Google My Business listing. Again, completely free, won’t cost you a penny.

3. Start a Facebook page

And then three, I want you to start a Facebook page, right? All we’re doing here is not getting you visible, but we’re making it possible for customers to find you on the two biggest marketing platforms in the world: Google and Facebook.

So get yourself set up with a website, a Google My Business listing, and a Facebook page. The latter two are free. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have one.

So go ahead, pause this video, get yourself set up on those right now. And this is the minimum, right? This is what you should have right now at the bare minimum. If you want anyone to take your business seriously in 2021.

4. Subscribe to my channel

The next thing you need to make the most out of 2021 is to hit the like button because it is going to help my company help your company with content just like this, each and every single Wednesday.

While you’re at it, be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell so that you get notified when a new video is released each and every single Wednesday. Go ahead, like, subscribe, notification bell.

Focus on your reputation

So once you’ve set up those three things, at the very minimum, what I would like for you to do throughout the entire year is focus on your reputation. Again, this does not cost you anything besides some time and effort to really work on building up your reputation.

Generate reviews on Google

So the best way for you to do this is to generate reviews on the most important platform, which is Google. So you wanna focus all of your efforts on getting customers to leave a review on your Google My Business listing. Not Facebook, not Yelp, not Home Advisor or any other platform. Get them on Google.

This is the best platform for you to do so. And if you don’t know why I want you to check out this video, that’s gonna explain why getting reviews on Google is the best place for you to get them.

Now, one thing that I wanna add is that it’s not easy for you to generate reviews on your Google My Business listing. Like theoretically speaking, yes, it is very simple, straightforward to get done. The problem is life happens for a lot of your customers. People get busy, right? And so you need to get better at this aspect of your business because one of those reviews can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars for your business in the future.

So make the effort in getting those reviews once the job is done. Once you know the customer is happy with your work and you are confident that you’re going to get that five-star review, then ask away and get that review for your business. Those reviews are going to work long-term. Think of them as an investment in your company for the future. So get as many as possible.

Track your results

Lastly, to make the most out of 2021, you need to track your results. You need to track your progress, guys.

Many, many companies online figure that they’re doing poorly online without actually knowing. Why? Because they have no way to track results. They don’t look at analytics. They don’t look at data. It is simply an assumption, right?

At the bare minimum, what you should be doing on every single phone call, every single lead that you get is to ask the customer how they found you. You’ll be surprised, right?

Many people that I know that I speak with, that I talk to every day, some of my clients still to this day, they do not ask how the person found them. So get in the habit of doing that, right? If you have a secretary or an answering service that you use, make sure you add this as one of the questions that you ask, how they found you. So that you can now see for yourself, how you are doing online.

Do not assume you’re doing poorly because you don’t know where the phone calls are coming from. It is your assumption that this was a referral. Ask away.
